Mrs. Sarah Diehl, widow of the later Peter Diehl, died yesterday of grip
and heart trouble, after two days illness at the residence of her daughter,
Mrs. Elizabeth Garis, 1726 Lehigh Street aged 89 years. The deceased
is survived by the following children: George Diehl of California; Mrs.
Elizabeth Garis and Mrs. Louise Mylie of Easton; Mrs. Malinda Fox and
Mrs. Anna Miller of Morgan Hill, Williams Township; Adam Diehl of Southern
New Jersey; Mrs. Ella Hartzell of Nebraska and William Diehl of Williams
Township. Mrs. Diehl also survived by 22 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren
and the following brothers and sister: Martin Young of Williams Township,
Amos Young and Mrs. Malinda Trien of Upper Mount Bethel township and
Mrs. Sabina Van Wort of Easton. She was a member of ST. John's Reformed
Church of Williams township.
