John E. Wilhelm

John E. Wilhelm, who was a motorman of the Easton Transit line thirteen years, died at 8:45 last evening at his home, No. 501 Palmer street, West Easton, of Bright's disease and a complication of ailments, aged 49 years. He was taken sick nine months ago today.

Mr. Wilhelm is survived by his wife, six children - Harry J. Wilhelm, a member of the Three Hundred and Eighteenth Engineers, in France; Edgar Wilhelm , of Company A, One Hundred and Forty-Ninth Machine Gun Battalion, in France; Mrs. Frank Ceveling, Miss Myrtle Wilhelm, Frank Wilhelm and Miss Catherine Wilhelm, of Easton; his mother, Mrs. Kate Wilhelm, widow of the late Jesse Wilhelm, of Easton; a brother Joseph Wilhelm, of Easton, and two sisters - Mrs. Fletcher B. Scarbourgh, of Philadelphia, and Mrs. William Fackenthall, of Easton.

He was a member of the Memorial Reformed Church; Camp No. 3, P.O. S. of A.; the Jr. O.U. A. M., and the Easton Local of the Amalgamated Street Railway Employees Association.
