Abraham Walter died on Saturday evening last at the residence of his son Enos, in Palmer township. He was born eight years ago a quarter of a mile from where he died. Mr. Walter was a tailor by trade which he followed for some time. Later he moved on the farm now owned by Lewis Uhler, which he farmed for a number of years. He next moved to Chestnut hill, where he was engaged at manufacturing bricks until about eleven years ago. Since then he has lived retired with his son Enos. His wife died about ten years ago. Four sons and one daughter survive him - Enos, of Palmer township; Josiah, of Easton; Abraham of College hill; Reuben of Hellertown, and Mary Ann, wife of William Knauss, also two sisters, Mrs. Saylor, of near Easton, and Mrs. Rader, of Palmer township. Thirty-six grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren survive him. The funeral will take place from the residence of his son Enos on Wednesday, at 2 p.m. Services and interment at Arndt's church.
